Crochet Granny Triangle Bandana Yarn Choices
The cotton yarn would be the best choice of yarn for this summer project as it creates a durable and breathable fabric that is ideal for warm weather. Stay away from acrylic yarn as this man-made fiber doesn’t create a breathable fabric.
I used Hobbii Friends Cotton Silk Print which is a lightweight mix of cotton and silk which is a great option. You will only need 1 ball of yarn which showcases different colors beautifully.
Easy triangle bandanas are becoming more and more popular accessories for summer. They are versatile to wear, quick and easy crochet projects to make, and a great quick gift for someone.
They are also a great savior for a bad hair day or when your hair gets a little messy at the beach!

Pattern Notes
- the triangle bandana starts at the bottom point and is worked in corner to corner 3 dc cluster stitches towards the widest edge
- you will be increasing on both sides of each row
- the number of row corresponds with the number of 3 dc cluster stitches in that row
- you will create an extra 1 ch-sp on each end of the row which is then used to increase the number of 3 dc clusters
- once you reach the desired width and depth of your bandana, you will create the first strap, then work a decorative picot border across the two sides until you reach the opposite point of the bandana, then create the second strap for tying and finish off the top edge with more picot stitches
- you can easily adjust the size of the bandana by repeating more/less rows
- a great way is to refer to the hat sizes chart below for a guide on head measurements for different age groups
